Welcome to the Howard County Cricket League (HCCL) League Portal. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using the portal.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HCCL League Portal (the "Portal"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Portal.

2. Use of the Portal

The Portal is intended for registered captains, vice captains, and umpires of the Howard County Cricket League. Access is restricted to approved members only. You agree to:

  • Use the Portal only for legitimate league-related activities such as ground bookings and rules inquiries.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information when registering and booking.
  • Not share your login credentials with any other person.
  • Not attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users.
  • Not use the Portal in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

3. Ground Booking Rules

All ground bookings made through the Portal are subject to the following conditions:

  • Bookings must be made by an authorised captain or vice captain of a registered HCCL team.
  • Bookings are subject to availability and ground management rules.
  • Cancellations must be made within the permitted window as defined by league administrators.
  • Credits issued for rained-off matches are non-transferable and expire at the end of the season.
  • Any abuse of the booking system may result in suspension of access.
  • HCCL administrators reserve the right to cancel or modify bookings where necessary.

4. Rulesbot

The Rulesbot feature provides AI-assisted responses based on HCCL rules documentation. Rulesbot responses are for guidance only and do not constitute official rulings. For official interpretations, please contact a league administrator. HCCL is not liable for any decisions made solely on the basis of Rulesbot output.

5. User Accounts

Registration requires admin approval. HCCL reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the league, other users, or third parties.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Portal, including logos, text, and software, is the property of HCCL or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without prior written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

HCCL provides the Portal on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HCCL disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Portal.

8. Changes to These Terms

HCCL reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Portal after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
